On 27 November, on the sidelines of the African Investment Forum 2025 in Rabat, Mr. Abdallahi Souleymane Cheikh Sidiya, Minister of Economic Affairs and Development, held a high-level meeting with Mr. Sidi Ould Tah, President of the African Development Bank (AfDB) Group.
This meeting is part of efforts to strengthen the strategic partnership between Mauritania and the AfDB and promote coordination around priority development programs.
The two parties reviewed the status of the current cooperation portfolio, which includes infrastructure, energy, transport, agriculture, and private sector support.
The two parties also discussed progress made on a number of structural projects financed by the Bank.
The two parties also discussed ways to develop an attractive investment environment and improve the quality of implementation of Bank-financed projects in our country, as well as strengthening the Bank’s commitment to continue supporting economic reforms in Mauritania and to support projects aimed at improving basic services and strengthening regional integration, as well as the need to continue technical coordination to ensure the acceleration of project implementation and the mobilization of additional financing in line with Mauritania’s development priorities.
