Minister of Youth Empowerment supervises the Launch of the National Conference for Youth Empowerment at the Level of the Tagant Region.

The Minister of Youth Empowerment, Employment, Sports, and Civil Service, Mr. Mohamed Abdallah Louly, today Monday in the city of Kiffa, along with the Governor of Assaba, Mr. Ahmedou Adahi Ikhtir, launched the regional phase of the National Youth Empowerment Conference at the level of the Assaba region.

The Minister explained, in a speech on the occasion, that this conference aims to drive the enabling of youth, enhance their spirit of initiative, and strengthen their engagement as a key player in the developmental process.He stated that this conference, which has launched in all the country’s states under the high directives of His Excellency the President of the Republic, Mr. Mohamed Ould Cheikh El Ghazouani, is part of a broader vision and government effort that seeks to make youth empowerment a central focus in public policies through training, qualification, employment, and active participation in decision-making.

He praised the distinction of the Assaba region during the district phase, where thousands of youths in Kiffa, Koro, Barkéol, Boumdeid, and Kankossa interacted with the activities of the conference. The field working teams in the open competitions recorded a total of 224 participations, including 45 in the empowerment competition, 117 in the entrepreneurship competition, 37 in civil service initiatives, and 25 theatrical works, in addition to sports competitions with the participation of 20 teams representing the five district states.For his part, the governor of Assaba pointed out that one of the conference’s objectives is to enhance the youth’s contribution in various developmental fields and to position them appropriately as a key player, highlighting the significant role that youth occupy in the program of His Excellency the President of the Republic, Mr. Mohamed Ould Cheikh El Ghazouani, “My Ambition for the Nation.”

Both the Head of the Guiding Region of l’Assaba, Mr. Mohamed Mahmoud Ould Habib, and the Mayor of Kiffa, Mr. Jamal Ould Kaboud, emphasized the importance of the youth seizing the opportunity of this conference to showcase their abilities and talents, especially given the significant attention that His Excellency President of the Republic, Mr. Mohamed Ould Cheikh El Ghazouani, gives to empowering the youth, which is considered a priority in government policies.The events of the regional phase included the distribution of numerous prizes to the top winners in various competitions held at the level of the province, in which dozens of youths competed.

The launch took place in the presence of the Deputy Governor of the Kiffa Province, Mr. Mohamed Dada Ould Ahmed Alam, the Regional Delegate for Youth Empowerment, Employment, Sports, and Civil Protection, Mr. Dia Mahmoud, the Coordinator of the Regional Youth Empowerment Conference in the Assaba Region, Mr. Ahmed Ould Abdourrahman, as well as heads of departments and administrative and security authorities in the region.
