Egyptian Embassy in Nouakchott holds a Reception to mark the Anniversary of the July 23 Revolution

. The Egyptian Embassy in Nouakchott organized a reception on Tuesday evening to mark the 73rd anniversary of the July 23, 1952 revolution.
The government was represented by Minister of Foreign Affairs, African Cooperation and Mauritanians Abroad Mohamed Salem Ould Merzoug and Presidential Advisor Harouna Traore.
In a speech on the occasion, Egyptian Ambassador to Mauritania Dr. Ahmed Mohamed Abdel Hamid Taya said that Mauritanian-Egyptian relations are characterized by a renewed partnership, and are today witnessing a phase of prosperity, development and convergence, in which bridges of cooperation are renewed and brotherly ties are deepened under the sincere political will of the leaderships of the two countries.
He praised the noble Mauritanian position expressed by HE President of the Republic Mohamed Ould Cheikh El Ghazouani during his participation in the US-Africa mini summit in Washington last week, in which he called for an end to the war against the Palestinian people in Gaza and to expedite the creation of safe corridors for the delivery of humanitarian aid to end the deteriorating humanitarian situation of the people of Gaza.
The ceremony was attended by Ambassador, Director General of Bilateral Cooperation at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Mohamed Al-Hanchi Al-Kettab, Ambassador, Director of Honors, Diop Mohamed Diouldei, and members of the diplomatic corps and international organizations accredited in Mauritania.
