National Assembly Speaker Receives Iranian Ambassador

The President of the National Assembly, Mr. Mohamed Bemba Maguett, received on Thursday, at his office at the Assembly’s headquarters in Nouakchott, H.E. Mr. Javad Abu Ali Akbar, Ambassador of the Islamic Republic of Iran accredited to Mauritania.
The meeting was an opportunity to discuss cooperation relations between Mauritania and Iran, with a special focus on ways to enhance parliamentary exchanges between the two countries.
The meeting also reviewed a number of issues of common interest.
The meeting was attended by Mr. Mohamed Yahya Hay, in charge of the National Assembly.
