Minister of Economy and Finance discusses with ESCWA Executive Secretary

The Minister of Economy and Finance, Mr. Sid’ Ahmed Ould Bouh, held a bilateral meeting with Dr. Rola Dashti, Executive Secretary of the United Nations Economic and Social Commission for Western Asia (ESCWA), on Tuesday, July 1, 2025, on the sidelines of the Seville Conference held in Spain.
During the meeting, they discussed strengthening cooperation frameworks with ESCWA in the fields of economic and social development.
The two sides reviewed ways to support joint projects aimed at enhancing national capacities and ways to benefit from ESCWA’s expertise in these aspects.
The Minister extended an official invitation to the Executive Secretary to visit Mauritania to complete the talks, continue coordination and strengthen the partnership for the benefit of the peoples of the region.
The meeting was attended by the Permanent Representative of our country to the United Nations and a number of officials from the economy and finance sector.
