The President of the Republic receives a High-Level Delegation from the Republic of Gambia

His Excellency the President of the Republic, Mr. Mohamed Ould EL Ghazouani, received today at the at the presidential palace in Nouakchott, a high-level delegation from the Republic of Gambia, including His Excellency Mr. Mohamed Jallow, Vice President of the Republic, and the membership of Mr. Mimodou Tangara, Minister of foreign Affairs, Mr. Abdoulaye Sanyang, Minister of the Interior, and Mr. Sheikh Omar Faye, Ambassador of the Republic of Gambia to Mauritania.

During the meeting, they discussed the existing cooperation relations between the two brotherly countries and ways to enhance them in various areas of common interest, thus contributing to strengthening the bonds of friendship and deepening the partnership between them.

This meeting comes within the framework of the renewed dynamism of Mauritanian-Gambian relations and the keenness of the leaderships of both countries to enhance cooperation and integration in serving the common interests of their peoples.

The meeting was attended by the Minister in Charge of the Office of the President of the Republic, Mr. Nani Ould Chrougha; the Minister of Foreign Affairs, African Cooperation and Mauritanians Abroad, Mr. Mohamed Salem Ould Merzoug; the Minister of Interior, Decentralization and Local Development, Mr. Mohamed Ahmed Ould Mohamed Lemin, and His Excellency the Ambassador of our country to The Gambia, Mr. Hamoud Abdi.
