The Minister of Health, Abdallah Sidi Mohamed Wedih, returned on Wednesday evening to Nouakchott from the Arab Republic of Egypt, after participating in the meeting of North African Ministers of Health organized in Cairo in cooperation between the Egyptian Ministry of Health and Population and the African Center for Disease Control (Africa CDC).
During his stay in Egypt, the Minister of Health met with Egyptian Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Health and Population Mr. Khaled Abdel Ghaffar and President of the Egyptian Pharmaceutical Authority Ali El Gamrawy, with whom he discussed ways to enhance bilateral cooperation in the health field and expand the partnership in the fields of pharmaceutical manufacturing, surveillance, digital transformation, training, and exchange of expertise.
He also participated in the activities of the Africa Health ExCon.
The Minister of Health was accompanied by a delegation from his sector.
