Mauritania condoles India over civilian plane crash

The Ministry of Foreign Affairs, African Cooperation and Mauritanians Abroad expressed, in a statement issued today, deep sorrow and emotion following the crash of the civil aircraft (Air India Flight Al 171), which occurred in the friendly Republic of India, leaving a number of victims and injured.

On behalf of the Mauritanian Government and people, the Ministry extended its deepest condolences and sincere feelings of solidarity to the Government and people of the Republic of India, expressing its deepest sympathy to the families of the victims and the injured in this tragic circumstance.

In this statement, the Islamic Republic of Mauritania reiterated its solidarity with the Government and people of the Republic of India in this tragic incident, reaffirming the friendship and appreciation between the two countries.
