Mauritania, Spain Discuss Ways of Boosting Trade

The meeting held in Nouakchott on 12 June by Mr. Cheikh El Avia Ould Mohamed Khouna, the President of the Mauritanian Chamber of Commerce, Industry, and Agriculture, and Mr. Pablo Barbara Gommez, the Spanish Ambassador to Mauritania, was devoted to discussing ways of boosting trade between the two countries and raising the volume of Spanish investment in Mauritania, which presents investment opportunities in various fields.

The meeting also focused on preparations for the Mauritanian-Spanish economic forum scheduled for 16 July.

Mr. Ould Mohamed Khouna expressed the Chamber’s support for this economic event and its readiness to work towards developing trade and economic relations and strengthening partnerships between the two countries’ business communities.
