Minister of Islamic Affairs submits Request to Saudi Hajj Minister to increase Mauritania’s Quota of Pilgrims

The Minister of Islamic Affairs and Original Education, Dr. Sidi Yahya Ould Cheikhna Ould Lemrabott, discussed with the Saudi Minister of Hajj and Umrah, HE Dr. Tawfiq bin Fawzan Al-Rabiah, the strong fraternal relations between the two countries, especially in the field of organizing Hajj and Umrah, during a working visit on Tuesday evening to the Saudi Ministry of Hajj and Umrah in Mina in the Holy Sites.
During the visit, the Minister presented to his Saudi counterpart a request to increase the quota of pilgrims allocated to Mauritania in the coming season, in view of the population increase shown by the 2023 census.
The Saudi minister welcomed this request, assuring that the ministry will study it, and expressing Saudi Arabia’s keenness to facilitate the performance of Hajj and Umrah rituals for The two sides praised the high level of coordination that characterized this year’s Hajj season, which witnessed a qualitative leap in the level of organization and services provided to pilgrims to achieve the aspirations of the two leaderships and the two brotherly peoples.
The meeting comes in the context of the traditional meeting held during the Hajj season every year between the ministers in charge of Hajj in the Islamic world and the Saudi Minister of Hajj and Umrah. all Muslims, especially from brotherly countries, especially Mauritania.
