Mauritania Commemorates UN Public Service Day

Mauritania has commemorated on Monday the United Nations Public Service Day under the slogan: For an effective and excellent public service accessible to all.

The commemorating day started with a presentation entitled: the outcome, aspirations, and the public system in Mauritania. The last part of the presentation was devoted to the current state of the public service and its prospects.

In a speech on the occasion, the Minister of Public Service and Labor, Mr. Camara Saloum Mohamed, affirmed that his sector commemorates this day in an atmosphere of self-confidence in promoting the workforce and making it a development tool by cementing a partnership with it in all fields.

He added that the commemoration of this day aims to promote an excellent public service that is accessible to all citizens, which is in line with the promises of His Excellency the President of the Republic, Mr. Mohamed Ould Cheikh El Ghazouani.

The minister declared that his sector has made great achievements by solving workers‘ problems and enacting many decrees to make a comprehensive reform of this sector.
