HAPA Presents the Results of the Annual Survey on the Press Situation

The High Authority for Press and Audiovisual (HAPA) organized a workshop on Friday in Nouakchott during which it presented the results of the annual survey on the press situation.On this occasion, the president of the HAPA, Mr. El Houssein Ould Meddou underlined that this annual survey on the media status in Mauritania, is mainly the duty of the HAPA as supported by the law.The HAPA objectives of this survey are to create a complete and detailed digital database, on the different components of the public and private media landscape.He added that the survey team visited several entities and media establishments to gather information. In addition, Ould Meddou declared that the investigation took place in the period marked by the Covid 19 crisis in addition to difficult economic situations for Medias.During the presentation, participants will follow a detailed presentation of the content of the survey.
