President of the Republic heads to Ahmeyim Floating Gas Production Plant

Nouakchott, May 22, 2025 (WAFA) – HE President of the Republic Mohamed Ould Cheikh EL Ghazouani left Nouakchott on Thursday morning for the floating gas production plant of the Tortoise Ahmeyiim Grande project, off the Mauritanian-Senegalese coast.

Upon his departure from Nouakchott International Airport, HE the President of the Republic was welcomed by HE Prime Minister Mokhtar Ould Diay, HE the Secretary General of the Presidency of the Republic Moulaye Ould Mohamed Laghdhaf, HE the Minister Counselor of the Presidency of the Republic Mohamed Ould Abdallah Ould Ousmane, HE the Minister of Justice Mohamed Mahmoud Ould Cheikh Abdallah Ben Boye, HE the Minister of Defense, Retirees Affairs and Children of Martyrs Hananna Ould Sidi, HE the Minister of Interior, Decentralization and Local Development Mohamed Ahmed Ould Mohamed Lemine, and the Chief of Special Staff General Ibrahim Fall Cheibani.

His Excellency the President of the Republic is accompanied by an important delegation comprising Messrs:

– Nani Ould Chrougha, Minister in charge of the Office of the President of the Republic.

– Mohamed Ould Khaled, Minister of Energy and Petroleum.

– Ismail Ould Abdelfattah, Director General of the National Hydrocarbons Company.

– El Hassan Ould Ahmed, Director General of State Honors.
