The president of the Malian community in Haoud el gharbi praises the conditions of legal residents from the community.
Mr. Magha Kanote, the president of the Malian community in the Haoud el gharbi, stated in a meeting with the Mauritanian News Agency that the conditions of legal residents among the Malian citizens in the state, numbering over 800, are excellent. He said that community members enjoy excellent relations with the administrative and security authorities and with all citizens, and they are treated with respect and appreciation by everyone. He noted that he was born in 1958 in the city of Nioro, Mali, and migrated to Mauritania in 1979, where he began working in the field of automobile mechanics, which allowed him to open a car repair garage in the city of Aioune in the early 1980s.
He explained that he has never felt a sense of alienation during this long period in Mauritania due to the respect and appreciation he receives from the citizens, praising the high values and exemplary mode of interaction that the Mauritanian people possess. He stated that he is in daily contact with members of the community to check on their conditions, and they all confirmed to him that they have not encountered any harassment and enjoy good living conditions, carrying out their activities with ease. He urged all Malian migrants to rectify their legal residency status and respect the laws set by the Mauritanian government in this area, thanking the administrative and security authorities and all Mauritanian citizens for their positive engagement with him as a representative of the Malian community in the state.
