President of the Republic inaugurates new headquarters of the Higher Institute of Digitalization

The President of the Republic HE Mr. Mohamed Ould Cheikh Ghazouani supervised, Thursday morning in Nouakchott West, the inauguration of the new headquarters of the Higher Institute of Digitalization.

HE the President of the Republic and his accompanying delegation toured the new headquarters of the institute and received detailed explanations about it, before cutting the symbolic ribbon and unveiling the commemorative plaque to mark the start of its use.

The new headquarters of the Higher Institute of Digitalization consists of 3 amphitheaters for more than 450 students, an administrative and educational wing, a library, a laboratory, an informatics room, classrooms, a chapel, an electrical switching station, 5 shops, a dining hall, and a guard’s residence on an area of about 7,000 square meters.

In a speech on the occasion, HE Minister of Housing, Urbanization and Territorial Reclamation, Mamoudou Mamadou Anyang, said that the design of this institute was followed and completed by national talents, stressing that these projects would not have seen the light of day without the vision of His Excellency the President of the Republic and his belief in achieving a bright and secure future.

He highlighted that the government, led by Prime Minister Mokhtar Ould Ajayi, continues to implement the emergency program for the development of the city of Nouakchott, noting that the housing sector is actively contributing to this program by building 28 health centers, 7 educational institutions, a multi-purpose sports hall and two sports stadiums.
