The Minister of Economy and Finance, Mr. Sid’ Ahmed Ould Bouh, held talks with the CEO of the Saudi Fund for Development (SFD), Mr. Sultan bin Abdulrahman Al-Murshid, on Tuesday in Washington, on the sidelines of the annual meetings of the World Bank Group and the International Monetary Fund (IMF).
The talks covered the portfolio of projects financed by the Fund in Mauritania and ways to accelerate the implementation of these projects with high efficiency. The two sides also discussed ways to launch new projects to promote sustainable development in Mauritania.
The two sides emphasized the importance of taking all necessary measures to ensure the proper implementation of current and future projects.
Over the past years, the Saudi Fund for Development has provided several loans to finance dozens of projects in Mauritania worth more than $625 million, reflecting the depth and strength of bilateral relations between the two countries.
