The Minister of Economy and Finance, Mr. Sid’ Ahmed Ould Bouh, met on Friday, at the headquarters of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs in Tokyo, with Japanese Deputy Foreign Minister Matsumoto Hisashi.
During the meeting, they reviewed the joint cooperation relations between Japan and Mauritania, especially in the sectors of fishing, agriculture, vocational training and food security.
They also discussed our country’s benefit from the financing mechanisms provided by the Japan International Cooperation Agency, as well as preparations for the Ninth African Development Conference (TICAD) next August in Yokohama.
The meeting took place in the presence of our Ambassador in Tokyo, Mr. Sidia Ould El Hadj, and Mauritania’s candidate for the presidency of the African Development Bank, Mr. Sidi Ould Tah.
