Minister of Economy and Finance attends Meeting of Ministers of Economy and Trade of Arab Countries, Central Asia and Azerbaijan

The Minister of Economy and Finance Sid‘Ahmed Ould Bouh participated on Wednesday in the meeting of the Ministers of Economy and Trade of the Arab States, Central Asian States and Azerbaijan, on the sidelines of the first session of the Conference on Business and Investment for Arab States, Central Asian States and Azerbaijan, held on 26 and 27 February 2025 in Abu Dhabi under the theme “Towards sustainable cooperation and partnership“.
The Ministers discussed ways to strengthen economic and investment cooperation, stressing the importance of economic integration and investment in the relevant sectors.
At the end of the meeting, the ministers issued a statement highlighting the importance of their strategic relationships and coordination in key economic sectors such as renewable energy, green solutions, sustainable development, supply chain resilience, transport, communications, food security, water security, tourism and digital transformation, and increased investment in these and other areas.
The declaration also highlights the historical and cultural ties between their countries and the importance of academic and educational exchanges in strengthening mutual understanding and cooperation in the future
The statement draws attention to the vast natural resources and investment opportunities in the energy, mining and petrochemical sectors in Arab and Central Asian countries as well as Azerbaijan.
The declaration also supports efforts to strengthen trade and economic cooperation and encourage joint investment between countries in order to derive mutual benefits
The meeting was attended by the Mauritanian Minister of Economy and Finance, the Minister of Economy of the United Arab Emirates, Abdullah bin Touq Al Marri, representing the host country, as well as Arab ministers and their counterparts from Central Asia and Azerbaijan.
