Minister of Foreign Affairs Meets With President of Canary Islands Government

On 20 February, in Nouakchott, Mr. Mohamed Salem Ould Merzoug, the Minister of Foreign Affairs, African Cooperation, and Mauritanians Abroad, met with H.E. Mr. Fernando Clavijo, the President of the Regional Government of the Canary Islands, who is visiting Mauritania at the head of a large delegation.

During the meeting, they reviewed the strong bilateral relations between Mauritania and the regional government, ways of strengthening and developing them within the framework of relations between Mauritania and the Kingdom of Spain, and issues of common interest.
