Foreign Affairs Minister Receives UN Secretary General’s Special Representative for West Africa, Sahel

On 19 February, in Nouakchott, Mr. Mohamed Salem Ould Merzoug, the Minister of Foreign Affairs, African Cooperation, and Mauritanians Abroad, received H.E. Mr. Leonardo Santos Simao, the Special Representative of the UN Secretary General for West Africa and the Sahel.

The talks focused on the cooperative relations between Mauritania and the United Nations, ways of strengthening and developing them, and regional and international issues of common interest.
