President of the Republic leaves Addis Ababa for Nouakchott

His Excellency the President of the Republic, Mohamed Ould Cheikh El Ghazouani, left the Ethiopian capital, Addis Ababa, on Sunday evening, returning to the capital Nouakchott, after participating in the work of the 38th Summit of the Assembly of Heads of State and Government of the African Union.

Yesterday, Saturday, during the opening ceremony of the summit at the headquarters of the African Union in Addis Ababa, HE the President of the Republic handed over the rotating presidency of the African Union for the year 2025, to his friend, Angolan President Joao Lourenço.

His Excellency the President of the Republic, the rotating Chairman of the African Union, Mohamed Ould Cheikh El Ghazouani, arrived on Friday morning in the Ethiopian capital, Addis Ababa, to participate in the work of the 38th session of the Summit of Heads of State and Government of the African Union.

His Excellency the President of the Republic was bidding farewell at Bole International Airport by His Excellency the Minister of Education of the Ethiopian Government, Mr. Berhanu Nega.
