Environment Minister heads to Dakar

Nouakchott

The Minister of Environment and Sustainable Development, Ms. Messouda Mint Baham Ould Mohamed Laghdhaf, left Nouakchott last night for the Senegalese capital, Dakar.

The meeting aims to strengthen the governance and coordination of this continental initiative that works to combat desertification, restore ecosystems, and promote adaptation to climate change in Africa.

The minister will then head to Kuwait to participate in the Arab Regional Forum for Disaster Risk Reduction, which will be organized from 9 to 12 of this month in Kuwait City.

The event will bring together key players in the region to foster collaboration and advance sustainable solutions to address the growing challenges associated with natural disasters and climate change impacts in the Arab world.
