President of Republic, AU Chairman, Receives BP Delegation
| On 20 January, in Nouakchott, His Excellency Mr. Mohamed Ould Cheikh El Ghazouani, the President of the Republic and Chairman of the African Union (AU), received a delegation from BP. Mr. Gordon Birrell, Executive Vice President for Production and Operations, led the delegation.
The delegation included Mr. Dave Campbell, Vice President in charge of Mauritania and Senegal, and Mr. Mohamed Limam, Vice President for Mauritania. The meeting focused on relations between Mauritania and BP, the strengthening of cooperation and partnership between Mauritania and Senegal, on the one hand, and the need to deepen and broaden this cooperation on the other.
