Minister of Agriculture returns from Germany after participating in the International Forum on Agriculture

On Sunday, the Minister of Agriculture and Food Sovereignty, Mr. Memma Ould Beibatta, returned to Nouakchott coming from Germany after participating in the activities of the International Forum on Agriculture organized in the city of Berlin from 16 to 19 January 2025.
The forum concluded with a ministerial conference that addressed several topics, the most important of which was strengthening cooperation between countries to meet the multiple challenges related to the steady increase in population, the acute shortage of agricultural resources such as agricultural land and pastures, and the growing decline of biodiversity.
Participants focused on revising the comparative approach to development by adopting a sustainable bioeconomy that includes the use of requirements to conserve natural resources as the most effective way to transform food systems and make them more resilient and sustainable.
The Minister of Agriculture and Food Sovereignty was accompanied by Mr. Abdullah Baba Ziad, Director of Planning at the Ministry of Agriculture and Food Sovereignty.
