President of Republic, AU Chairman, Receives UN Delegation

On 16 December, in Nouakchott, His Excellency Mr. Mohamed Ould Cheikh El-Ghazouani, . The President of the Republic and Chairman of the African Union (AU), received a large UN delegation led by Mr. Ramdan Lamamra, the UN Secretary General’s Special Envoy for Sudan, and included UN advisors Naila Hajjar and Hanan Elbadawi.

The meeting discussed current developments in the Republic of Sudan, particularly the humanitarian aspect and the prospects for finding appropriate solutions to the crisis in this sisterly country.
