President of Republic Receives New Armenian Ambassador’s Credentials

On 27 November, in Nouakchott, His Excellency Mr. Mohamed Ould Cheikh El-Ghazouani, the President of the Republic, received the credentials of HE Mr. Poladin Arsak, as Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Republic of Armenia to the Islamic Republic of Mauritania.

After presenting credentials, the President of the Republic granted the new Armenian Ambassador an audience in the presence of Mr. Mohamed Salem Ould Merzoug, the Minister of Foreign Affairs, African Cooperation, and Mauritanians Abroad.

At the end of the meeting, the Armenian Ambassador made a statement to the Mauritanian news agency, expressing his satisfaction and pleasure at meeting His Excellency the President of the Republic and his delight at being appointed to this brotherly country and to be the first Armenian Ambassador in the sub-region.

He stressed that he would spare no effort to develop and strengthen cooperative relations between the two countries.
