On 20 November, the Presidency of the Republic announced that, by decree published today, the members of the National Mechanism for the Prevention of Torture (MNPT) have been appointed as follows:

1- Members belonging to the National Order of Physicians:

– Aiche Biha

2- Members belonging to the National Bar Association:

-Ly Sidou

-Mohamed Mohamed Saleck

3- Independent personalities :

-Dah Khtour

-Ba Hamadi

4 – Members from national Non-Governmental Organizations working in the field of human rights :

– Oumoulkhairi Kane

– Mariem Fadhel Khyar

– Izid Bih Dah

– Ayeli Abed

– Obeid Imijine

5 – The member belonging to the Corps of University Professors:

– Sidi Mohamed Sidouba.
