Embassy of Sultanate of Oman organizes Reception on occasion of the National Day of Oman

The Embassy of the Sultanate of Oman organized on Tuesday evening in Nouakchott a reception on the occasion of the 54th National Day of the Sultanate of Oman.

The government was represented by Minister of Foreign Affairs, African Cooperation and Mauritanians Abroad Mr. Mohamed Salem Ould Merzouk, Minister of Higher Education and Scientific Research Yacoub Ould Amine, Advisor to the Prime Minister in charge of Political Affairs Hendou Bint Ainina, and Ambassador Secretary General of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, African Cooperation and Mauritanians Abroad Bale Mohamed Al Habib.In a speech on the occasion, HE Jassim bin Eid bin Abdullah Al Saadi, Chargé d’affaires at the Embassy of the Sultanate of Oman and head of his country’s diplomatic mission in Mauritania, said that Mauritania and Oman have relations of cooperation and partnership in various fields, embodied in mutual visits of high-level official delegations, as well as the signing of several cooperation agreements and memorandums of understanding, recalling that cooperation agreements were recently signed in several fields including (political consultation; minerals and renewable energy; documents and national archives; communications and information technology; diplomatic training).

The ceremony took place in the presence of the Ambassador Director General of Bilateral Cooperation at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Mr. Mohamed Al-Hanchi Al-Kitab, the Ambassador Director of the Arab World, Mr. Omar Mohamed Babou, and the Assistant Director of Honors, Mr. Amadou Ba Bella.
