Signing of 16 million euro Grant Agreement Between Our country and France

The Minister of Economy and Finance, Mr. Sid Ahmed Ould Abouh, signed on Thursday in Nouakchott a grant agreement to finance a project to support promising divisions and contract farming, with H.E. Mr. Alexandre Garcia, Ambassador of France to our country, and Mr. Moncam Davera, Director of the French Development Agency (AFD).

The funding amounts to 16 million euros, equivalent to about 690 million new ouguiyas.

This funding aims to contribute to the structuring of competitive and inclusive agro-pastoral sectors that provide employment opportunities in agriculture in the states of Gorgol, Kidimaga and Adrar, and dairy production in the two basin states, which have important agricultural and pastoral capacities.
