Food Safety Commissioner Receives AFD Director General

On 7 November, in Nouakchott, Ms. Fatimetou Mint Khattry, the Commissioner for Food Safety, received Mr. Ignace Monkam-Daverat, the Director of the French Development Agency (AFD) in Mauritania, and a delegation from the Agency led by Camille Laporte from AFD’s Fragilities, Crises, and Conflicts Department.

Discussions between the Commissioner for Food Security and the AFD delegation focused on cooperative relations between the two friendly countries and ways of strengthening and developing them, particularly in food security and supporting our country’s efforts to cope with food crises, within the framework of the National Food and Nutritional Crisis Response Mechanism.
