Prime Minister chairs Meeting of Ministerial Committee Tasked with Following up Mauritania’s Access to MCC Indicators

Nouakchott

As part of his follow-up to the general indicators of economic development in the country, Prime Minister Mokhtar Ould Diay chaired, on Thursday at the Prime Ministry, a meeting of the ministerial committee in charge of following up Mauritania’s access to the Millennium Challenge Corporation (MCC) indicators.

The meeting was an opportunity for the ministerial committee to review the general level of progress in the country’s position in the MCC index.

After discussion and deliberation, the Prime Minister instructed the need to accelerate the improvement of indicators by providing the necessary information by the ministerial sectors responsible for them in order to improve the country’s position with the indicator monitoring bodies of the Millennium Challenge Corporation (MCC), while recalling the need to include the relevant reforms in a way that allows the country to benefit from the resources and investments allowed by access to the list of countries benefiting from the integrated program phase.
