Prime Minister launches “Ain” Electronic Platform to receive and address Citizens’ Complaints

Prime Minister Mokhtar Ould Diay officially launched, on Tuesday evening at the First Ministry, the “Ain” digital platform dedicated to receiving and addressing citizens’ complaints.
The online platform aims to contribute to enabling citizens to monitor government work and the provision of public services, and to facilitate the administration’s receipt, tracking and processing of their observations, suggestions and complaints, without preventing citizens from exercising their right to submit their complaints directly to the administration or any competent administrative body.
In a speech, the Prime Minister said that the launch of the electronic platform “Ain” comes in accordance with the directives of H.E. President of the Republic Mohamed Ould Cheikh El Ghazwani, and in implementation of his pledge to improve administrative work and involve citizens in the management of their affairs and use everything that facilitates this endeavor, including digitization as a means to bring the administration closer to the citizen.
He also added that the launch of the “Ain” platform comes in fulfillment of his pledge during the government’s general policy statement to launch this platform before the end of 2024, as a platform that allows citizens to evaluate and monitor government performance and help develop and promote it by reporting irregularities, errors and all aspects of negligence that may sometimes characterize some administrative and service facilities.
The Prime Minister explained that this platform is designed to allow citizens, wherever they are, to directly communicate their complaints about any harm that has been unjustly inflicted on them or any right that has been taken away from them, noting that the assignment of representatives from all government sectors to receive and process citizens’ complaints and reports on this platform around the clock will have a great impact on the smoothness and transparency of public service.
