The Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Cooperation, and Mauritanians Abroad announced on Wednesday the postponement of the meeting of the ministers of foreign affairs of the Arab Maghreb Union (AMU).
The meeting, which was scheduled for Thursday in Nouakchott, was postponed after consultations between the brothers of the AMU.
According to the ministry’s communique, the postponement is due to the country’s pre-existing commitments in the framework of the preparations of the Arab group and the Non-Aligned Movement to support the Palestinian vision at the extraordinary meeting of the United Nations General Assembly scheduled for Thursday.
The ministry added that a new date for the meeting is to be set later.
