President of the Republic and the Chairman of the AU receive the President of India at Nouakchott International Airport

His Excellency the President of the Republic, Chairperson of the African Union, Mr. Mohamed Ould Cheikh El Ghazouani, received, on Wednesday at the plane ladder at Nouakchott Oumtounsi International Airport , Her Excellency Mrs. Drupadi Mormo, President of the Republic of India, who is on a one-day friendship and business visit to our country.
The President of the Republic, Chairperson of the African Union, was received at the flight by Prime Minister Mokhtar Ould Diay, Minister in charge of the Office of the President of the Republic, Nani Ould Shrougha, Chiefs of Staff of the Armed and Security Forces, Chief of Special Staff of the President of the Republic, Governor of Nouakchott West, Vice-President of the Nouakchott Region, and HE Ambassador of our country to India.
After listening to the Mauritanian and Indian national anthems and reviewing the ceremonies of honour, the Indian President shook hands with the President of the National Assembly, Mohamed Bamba Maguet, the President of the Constitutional Council, Diallo Mamadou Bathia, the Minister and Secretary-General of the Presidency of the Republic, Moulay Ould Mohamed Laghdaf, the Minister Counsellor of the Presidency of the Republic, Mohamed Ould Abdallahi Ould Othmane, the Minister Counsellor of the Presidency of the Republic, Aissata Ba Yahya, members of the Government, dignitaries of the State and members of the diplomatic corps accredited in our country.
The President shook hands with the delegation accompanying the President of India, before they met privately at the presidential suite at the airport.
