President of Republic Attends Financing African economies Summit

The summit on Financing African economies has started its works in the French Capital, Paris, with the participation of His Excellency the President of the Republic, Mr. Mohamed Ould Cheikh El Ghazouani.

The summit, which seeks to get the African continent out of the financial bottleneck caused by the COVID-19 Pandemic, gathers around thirty African and European leaders and major international economic organizations.

The summit is divided into two sessions: the first one is about ‘’financing and addressing public debt’’ while the second one is devoted to ‘’African private sector’’. The session is expected to conclude with a joint press conference of French president Emmanuel Macron with the president of the Democratic Republic of Congo, Felix Tshisekedi, rotating president of the African Union.
