On 3 October, in Nouakchott, the Prime Minister, Mr. Mokhtar Ould Diay, received a delegation from the World Food Program (WFP) led by Wim Vandenbroucke, head of the high-level mission for climate resilience in the Sahel, who is currently in Mauritania to inquire about our experience in integrated climate change resilience programs.
The meeting provided an opportunity to discuss ways to strengthen and develop fruitful cooperation relations between our country and this UN organization and the contributions of the High-Level Mission in support of this program in Mauritania.
The high-level delegation included representatives of the group of donor countries within the framework of the support and advocacy program for national climate resilience efforts in the Sahel and representatives of the presidency of COP29 of the Convention on Biological Diversity (CBD) in Azerbaijan.
