Minister of Social Action Receives UN Women’s Official

On 2 October, in Nouakchott, Ms. Savia Mint N’Tahah, the Minister of Social Action, Children, and Family, received Ms. Valerie Mengue Ango, the Program Officer for Governance, Gender, Women, Security, and Peace at the United Nations Women’s Organization (UN Women).

During the meeting, the Minister and the UN official discussed ways to strengthen cooperation between the department and UN Women in the areas of women’s advancement and protection of their rights.
