On 2 October, His Excellency Mr. Mohamed Ould Cheikh El-Ghazouani, the President of the Republic and Chairman of the African Union (AU), arrived in the French capital, Paris, to participate in the 19th Summit of the International Organization of La Francophonie, to be held on 4 and 5 October in Villiers-Cotterêts.
Upon his arrival in Paris, the President of the Republic was received by HE Mr. Mohamed Yahya Ould Teiss, our Ambassador in Paris, HE Ms. Moulaty Mint El Mokhtar, the Permanent Representative of Mauritania to UNESCO, and members of our country’s diplomatic missions in Paris.
During this trip, the President of the Republic is accompanied by a large delegation including:
– Mr. Nani Ould Chrougha, the Minister in charge of the Cabinet of the President of the Republic,
– Mr. Mohamed Salem Ould Merzoug, the Minister of Foreign Affairs, African Cooperation, and Mauritanians Abroad,
– Mr. Mohamed Yahya Ould Teiss, the Ambassador of our country to France,
– Ms. Coumba Ba, an Advisor at the Presidency of the Republic, Special Envoy to the International Organization of La Francophonie,
– El Hacen Ould Ahmed, the Director General of State Protocol.
