President of Republic Meets Chinese Communist Party Senior Official

On 3 September, in Beijing, China, His Excellency Mr. Mohamed Ould Cheikh El Ghazouani, the President of the Republic and Chairman of the African Union, met Mr. Cai Qi, a member of the Standing Committee of the Political Bureau of the Central Committee of the Communist Party of China (CPC), member of the Secretariat of the Central Committee.

The meeting between the two men focused on the friendly relations between Mauritania and China, the means of developing them, China-Africa cooperation, and the prospects of the China-Africa coordination, in addition to the agenda for the Forum on China-Africa Cooperation (FOCAC).
