Ministry of Foreign Affairs praises appointment of Mauritanian Citizen as OIF’s special envoy to Chad
The Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Cooperation, and Mauritanians Abroad praised the selection of the Mauritanian diplomat and former minister Mr. Ahmedou Ould Abdallah as the special envoy of the International Organization of the Francophonie to Chad. He is tasked with monitoring the situation in Chad.
In a communique on Thursday, the ministry said that this appointment is a result of the vision of His Excellency the President of the Republic, Mr. Mohamed Ould Cheikh El Ghazouani, that aims to boost an efficient presence of the national competencies on international scenes.

‘’The General Secretariat of the International Organization of the Francophonie has appointed the distinguished Mauritanian diplomat and former minister Mr. Ahmedou Ould Abdallah as special envoy to monitor the situation in Chad.
This appointment is a result of the vision of His Excellency the President of the Republic, Mr. Mohamed Ould Cheikh El Ghazouani, that aims to boost an efficient presence of the national competencies on international scenes.
On this occasion, we congratulate Mr. Ahmedou Ould Abdallah on this trust, which the fruit of his outstanding competence and rich experience at the national and international levels. We wish him success‘’.
