Prime Minister receives Executive Office of National Union of Mauritanian Employers

The Prime Minister Mokhtar Ould Diay met on Monday at the Prime Ministry with members of the Executive Office of the National Union of Mauritanian Employers (UNEM), chaired by President of the Union Mohamed Zeine El Abidine Ould Cheikh Ahmed.

The meeting was devoted to activating partnership mechanisms between the public and private sectors.

At the beginning of the meeting, the Prime Minister stressed the strong political will of His Excellency the President of the Republic, Mr. Mohamed Ould Cheikh El Ghazouani, within the strategic vision of his ambition for the homeland, to make the national private sector an active partner in the wheel of economic and social development, stressing the government’s readiness in this context to contribute with all possible facilities and incentives to an effective private national sector that keeps pace with the aspirations of national development.

For his part, the President of the National Union of Mauritanian Employers, on behalf of the Office, thanked the public authorities for their efforts to make the national private sector an active partner in development, reiterating in this context the obstacles facing some national investors and reviewing some of the basic problems posed to them as well as solutions that will enable the private sector to contribute effectively to the development of our national economy.

He expressed the support of the national private sector to the government in the reforms and development workshops it seeks to implement.

At the end of the meeting, the Prime Minister issued orders to establish an executive mechanism to organize public forums for partnership between the public and private sectors as soon as possible to establish a partnership based on the common national achievement.
