Prime Minister and Several Members of the Government declare their Assets to the Committee for Financial Transparency in Public Life

On Monday afternoon at the Palace of Justice in Nouakchott., Prime Minister Mokhtar Ould Djay, Minister in charge of the General Secretariat of the Government Mokhtar El Houssino Lam, Minister of Fisheries, Maritime and Port Infrastructures Mr. El Fadhil Ould Sidati, Minister of Agriculture and Food Sovereignty Mr.  Emmema Beibata, Minister of Animal Development Mr. Mokhtar Gaguih, Minister of Culture, Arts, Communication and Relations with Parliament Mr. El Houssine Ould Meddou and Minister of Children and Family Ms. Safia N’tahah, presented their assets declaration to the Committee for Financial Transparency in Public Life.
Mr.  El Moustapha Ould Sid’Emmou, secretary of the Committee, received these declarations in the presence of Mr. Cheikh Ahmed Ould Sid Ahmed, President of the Supreme Court, Chairman of the Committee for Financial Transparency in Public Life.
This measure comes in implementation of Law 2007/54 of September 18, 2007 on financial transparency in public life, which stipulates that the President of the Republic, the Prime Minister, members of the government, high-ranking officials and other officials must declare their assets to the Commission.
