President of the Republic President-elect receives Congratulations From Brazilian President

His Excellency the President of the Republic, President-elect Mr. Mohamed Ould Cheikh El Ghazouani, received, on Wednesday, a congratulatory message from His Excellency Mr. Luiz Inácio Lula da Silva, President of the Federal Republic of Brazil, on the occasion of his election as President of the Islamic Republic of Mauritania for a new term of office.
The letter states as follows :
“Mr. President,
On the occasion of your re-election as President of the Islamic Republic of Mauritania, I am pleased to congratulate you, on behalf of the Brazilian people and government and on my own behalf, on my sincere congratulations and best wishes for health and prosperity to the Mauritanian people.
We share Your Excellency, as President of Mauritania and Chairman of the African Union, and I, as President of Brazil, in working towards a more just and equitable world, in which developing countries play an increasingly crucial role in the establishment of a new multipolar order.
To this end, within the framework of the G20, we count on Mauritania’s support for the two main appeals that we will launch under the Brazilian presidency: the Global Alliance against Hunger and Poverty and the Global Task Force on Climate Change.
I reiterate our firm determination to deepen the strong relations of cooperation and friendship with Mauritania and the African Union. I would also like to take this opportunity to thank Your Excellency for your readiness to participate in the G20 Leaders’ Summit to be held in Rio de Janeiro on November 18-19.
