France Congratulates President of Republic

On 5 July, France congratulated Mr. Mohamed Ould Cheikh El Ghazouani on his re-election as President of the Islamic Republic of Mauritania.

In a statement released by the Ministry for Europe and Foreign Affairs, France reaffirmed its desire to strengthen its ties of friendship with Mauritania, saying it is fully mobilized to continue working with President Ghazouani on all of our common priorities.

In this regard, it welcomed the determined action of Mauritania, the current Chairperson of the African Union, in favor of the stability and development of the African continent.
