President of the Republic, President-elect receives Congratulations From the Syrian President

On Thursday, His Excellency, the President of the Republic, President-elect Mr. Mohamed Ould Cheikh El Ghazouani, received a cable of congratulations from His Excellency Mr. Bachar Al-Assad, President of the Syrian Arabic Republic, on the occasion of his re-election as President of the Islamic Republic of Mauritania for a new term of office.
The telegram reads as follows:
“Brother President;
I congratulate you on the renewed confidence of the Mauritanian people in your sovereignty and congratulate you on your victory in the presidential elections, wishing you continued success and repayment for all that is good and in the interest of the brotherly people of Mauritania.
I reiterate to you our constant keenness to work with you to strengthen brotherly relations between Syria and Mauritania and to develop bilateral cooperation in all fields that benefit the two brotherly peoples, especially since there are strong ties that have always united them through the missions of Mauritanian students who studied in Syria and enriched the bilateral relationship between the two countries.
As the Islamic New Year approaches, I extend to you our heartfelt congratulations, and I hope that the Almighty Allah will return this occasion to you and to the brotherly Mauritanian people with goodness, Righteousness and blessings.
