President of the Republic, President-elect receives Congratulations From President of Djibouti

His Excellency the President of the Republic, President-elect Mr. Mohamed Ould Cheikh El Ghazouani, received, on Wednesday, a cable of congratulations from His Excellency Mr. Ismail Omar Guelleh, President of the Republic of Djibouti, on the occasion of his re-election as President of the Islamic Republic of Mauritania for a new mission.
The telegram reads as follows:
“Your Excellency,
At a time when the brotherly Mauritanian people voted in favour of continuing your work at the head of your country, I have the honor and pleasure to extend to you my warmest congratulations.
The overwhelming majority that voted for your re-election in the first round of the presidential election is a testament to the support of your citizens for your political leadership.
By re-electing you to the post of President of the Republic, the Mauritanian people have chosen experience.
There is no doubt that brotherly Mauritania, under your enlightened leadership, will significantly enhance its efforts to achieve stability and pacification in the volatile Sahel region.
