2024 presidential elections: Candidate Hamadi Sidi Mokhtar concludes his campaign in Nouakchott
Nouakchott
Presidential election candidate Hamadi Sidi Mokhtar Mohamed Abdi presided Thursday evening in Nouakchott, the capital, over the closing ceremony of his electoral campaign.
In a speech on the occasion, the candidate said that the campaign enabled him to tour the entire country, noting that he felt the attachment of Mauritanians to what he called “the communicative palm,” thanking all the forged areas that proved their loyalty, indicating that all stations saw the “communicative” project as the savior of the country, especially the candidate’s pledge to apply the Sharia of God and the Sunnah of his Prophet, reaffirming that he will implement that pledge if he wins.
He called on everyone to remove the regime and not allow it another five years, during which the country will continue to suffer from rising prices and the lack of necessary services such as water, electricity and health, he said.
He said that what he called the “flood of reform” is clear evidence that the people will have their say on the 29th of this month, and that corruption and the corrupt will no longer have a place.
The candidate called on the youth, as a living force, to intensify efforts to bring about change, pledging to improve the reality of this group, calling on porters, farmers, doctors, security men, teachers and professors to choose the best option, pledging to change their reality for the better.
The candidate drew attention to what he said was harassment by the regime, denouncing what he described as the prevention of candidate Otuma Somare from organizing a rally in the place where he had planned to organize it on Thursday evening.
He called on all voters to protect their votes and called on all political spectrums to establish a national pact to reject anything that contradicts the law of God and anything that causes chaos and confusion in the country.
