2024 Presidential Elections: Candidate El Id Mohameden M’Bareck Holds Electoral Meeting in Touil (Hodh El Gharbi)

Mr. El Id Mohameden M’Bareck, the candidate for the 2024 presidential elections, declared that the Moughataa of Touil, in Hodh El Gharbi, suffers from what he described as ‘marginalization and injustice’ because there are no development projects to promote the district, which was created recently, stressing that Touil needs special attention to improve the living conditions of its inhabitants, as he put it.

During an electoral meeting in this Moughataa on 24 June, the candidate added that he wanted to visit Touil despite the difficulty of reaching there by road.

Addressing his supporters, he told them: ‘Change is in your hands’ by voting for us on 29 June, adding that he is aware of “the intimidation and the pressure exerted on the inhabitants of the Moughataa. “Among the candidates,” he adds, “there are some that you have already tried, and you are aware of the services that have been provided to you”, indicating that no project has been completed in this Moughataa under his reigns, he said.

For their part, speakers from the campaign coordination in Touil urged people to vote for candidate El Id Mohameden M’Bareck and not to submit to pressure.

After the meeting, the candidate visited some villages around Touil, during which he presented his program and called on people to vote for him on election day.
