Mauritania’s Ambassador to Vatican Presents Credentials to Pope Francis

On 20 June, HE Mr. Mohamed Yahya Ould Teiss presented his credentials to His Holiness Pope Francis in his capacity as Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Islamic Republic of Mauritania to the Vatican City.

During the ceremony, HE the Ambassador conveyed the greetings of HE Mr. Mohamed Ould Cheikh El Ghazouani, the President of the Republic, to His Holiness Pope Francis.

Mr. Ould Teiss expressed his satisfaction with the relations between Mauritania and the Vatican and his willingness to work with Vatican officials to strengthen them at bilateral and multilateral levels.

For his part, Pope Francis asked the ambassador to convey his greetings and feelings of respect to His Excellency Mr. Mohamed Ould Cheikh El Ghazouani, the President of the Republic.
