Constitutional Council President Returns to Nouakchott

On 19 June, Mr. Diallo Mamadou Bathia, the President of the Constitutional Council,  returned to Nouakchott from Paris, where he participated in the work of the 10th conference of heads of member institutions of the Association of the French-speaking Constitutional Courts (ACCF), which took place from 13 to 15 June under the theme: “the Constitutional Protection of Freedom of Expression.”

Created in 1997, the ACCF aims to strengthen links between its member courts to promote the deepening of the rule of law.

The ACCF currently brings together 50 constitutional courts and equivalent institutions from Africa, Europe, America, and Asia.
